When it was explained what Bartercard could do for our business, we thought, well you can’t argue with that, something’s better than nothing! 10 years on this still applies.
It’s easy to trade with businesses that are members of Bartercard as they are like-minded people. Over the years we have developed friendships with our Bartercard clients. We trade with people we find a synergy with and who are interested in building good relationships.
By taking in extra sales from Bartercard I have been able to afford to indulge my family and myself a little. For example, over the past 10 years, myself and my seven children and their partners have enjoyed visits to a health retreat on the Gold Coast. It’s been the best thing we’ve done! To me this simply can’t be costed and I see it as an investment into the health and lifestyle management of my family.
I’m much wiser now with how to use Bartercard in our business. I understand that Bartercard can seriously affect your cash flow if you do not manage it properly. You must use Bartercard carefully by assessing your businesses surplus capacity and if Bartercard’s not going to drain your cash flow, go for it!
