We’re avid Bartercard spenders and we don’t think twice about it! We spend faster than we can earn it! We find we can always spend our Bartercard Trade Dollars; there is always something to purchase which will save our business cash.
We purchase a lot of products and services on Bartercard for our restaurant. We recently changed the supplier of our serviettes to a Bartercard supplier as they are able to print our logo on the front. Whilst these new serviettes cost a little extra, they are much better quality than our old cash suppliers and we know that by paying with Bartercard Trade Dollars it is effectively costing us less than if we were to pay cash.
We’re involved in Bartercard because we love it! The thing I most like about being a member of Bartercard is there is always someone within the network who can give you advice about trading within Bartercard, or about business in general. You’re not alone; you’re part of a network that cares about your business.
We’re totally open to trading in different ways in Bartercard. We don’t just stick to walk in clientele; we actively promote ourselves in different ways. For example, one year we advertised for businesses to use our restaurant as a reward for their staff. A removalist company took up the offer and pre-purchased twenty $100 vouchers to give out to their staff as Christmas presents. This was a fantastic way to promote our business because not only did we receiving the additional trade income from the sale but we gain additional cash business as these staff members came back to dine in our restaurant again and again, they also told their friends and family about us.
I say to all restaurateurs give it go, don’t wait for customers to come to you, promote yourself and join Bartercard!
